Water Falls

I particularly love taking photos of waterfalls.   Waterfalls to me are just grand.  They have been around since the end of the ice age and the power of the water to carve the rock blows my mind.  I get a sense of awe and peace when I visit them.   Light house to me bring a sense of history.  Without them, many boats would have crashed on the rocky shores that the light houses warn against.   What did sailors do before there were light houses?  Who came up with the idea of putting some kind of light on top of a tower to warn sailors of the potential danger?

All of these photographs are available to purchase as limited edition prints.  They are available on either canvas or metal in various sizes ranging from 11"x14" to 24"x36".   The costs start at around $100 depending on the size and material.   The canvas prints are wrapped around a 1.5" stretcher bars with black boarders around the outside of the print. The canvas is a high quality 400GSM white poly-cotton canvas to ensure high color saturation, rich blacks and sharp details.  The metal prints are produced on 1/4" acrylic bonded onto an aluminum backing that makes this piece of art feel solid. On the back side, french cleats will allow the print to be mounted on a wall easily and creates a modern floating look that is seen in museums. The hand polished acrylic is cyrstal clear and is also non-glaring for easy viewing from most angles and lighting conditions.  The acrylic on metal prints are my favorite.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these prints, please contact me to discuss further.

Often when I am in the yard or I am stuck in the house, I will bust out my Canon 100mm f/2.8 L lens and my flash rig to capture up close and personal photos of various flowers and bugs that I find.   I love the detail you see when you look really close at something.  It amazes me that no matter how close you look there are always more details and patterns that can be seen.   I know that when I am too old and broken to hike to see water falls, I will still be taking macro photos!
